“Wired Left” is a blog established for the sole purpose of presenting points of view that are indicative of the Democratic Principles that are the solid basis for our political leanings. It will be a mixture of commentary that will include critical analysis of current events, policy decisions, and observations of the world we inhabit through various lenses and life experiences offered up by the posters and commentators and will be open to anyone willing to engage in thoughtful debate and argument.

We may not always find ourselves in perfect agreement with one another, and it is a given that none of us has all the answers to the problems facing us today. With that being said, we do welcome the opportunity for discussion of the topics and look forward to a respectful dialogue with anyone who may wish to offer a different perspective. All we ask is that we treat one another with the respect and civility we all wish to encounter when presenting an opinion.

Make no mistake, we consider ourselves “lefties” here, more on the order of the principles and policies of FDR. We support an agenda that promotes individuals and groups who are “looking out for the little guy” when it comes to policy issues. If we feel that the decision makers from either party are out of step with upholding the “common good” of its citizens we would not hesitate to call either side out for acting against our best interests regardless of the label they wear.

We invite you to join us and welcome your thoughts as well. Our credentials overall have been forged from our participation in the Democratic Party over the years and the bedrock on which it was formed still guide our thinking process. We are strong adherents to the civil and human rights of all as we strongly believe that this is the only path to achievement that guarantees our role in the constitutional process.
